Banning is welcoming a new collection of Homes. The long awaited new community called Atwell is anticipated to be offering its homes for sale in early 2020. Atwell has not always been the name of this master planned community. Back in the day it was called Butterfield. The original plan was for a golf course to flow through the development. The Butterfield Specific Plan was set to fulfill the City of Banning’s development purposes by creating a development that answered to community needs, incorporates existing amenities, and provide a variety of open space amenities and uses. The variety of residential uses was to provide housing at different affordable price levels for a variety of income levels. The proposed Butterfield Specific Plan provided a desirable high-quality planned community that mixed evenly distributed residential development. Click HERE for the original plans.
If you take a drive north on Highland Springs, you can easily see the new homes springing up from the ground. Pardee Homes has incorporated Smith Creek into the design,so nature will continue the natural flow of water. The trail system will offer work out areas. There is approximatly 10 miles of trails that will go through the development. Mountain Bike, Hike, jog and there is even talk of horse trails. This is an exciting new concept from Pardee and I can’t wait to see it all come true.
Even tho the addresses will be Banning, this part of town is under the Beaumont School District. Even more confusing, the east side of the development will go to Banning School District.
The Sundance Corp Center, across the street, will host some retail and resturants. Nice for the residences in the area.
Shopping, food, Morongo Casino and Resort and Cabazon Outlets are just minutes away.
